“Coaching is unlocking people's potential to maximize their own performance.” (Whitmore 2017)
Executive coaching for leaders who are in the top and upper level of their organizations (C-suites, EVPs, SVPs, VPs, Directors).
Focus coaching areas are performance (improving ability to achieve work / business related goals and outcomes), development (developing increasingly complex understanding of self, others and the system to meet present and future challenges) and remedy (remediate problematic attitudes or behaviors that interfere with the individual's performance). Common contexts include the development of high potential individuals, improving personal performance, transition of executives into new roles, onboarding, managing change, strengthening team performance, and improving communication; ideally always a clear business measure associated with it.
The focus is on what people are capable of doing and being, and then working toward that end. It’s about building and developing, not fixing.
